The vast majority of e-bikes for children on the market are scaled down versions of an adult bike with poor ergonomics and geometry for children as well as little thought into the e-drive system. Our goal here was to quickly bring to market an electric version of our current Explorer line-up and create the best all-round e-bike specifically designed, engineered and tuned for kids.
The woom EXPLORE e is powered by a MAHLE battery and motor. Together with MAHLE we did a lot of work and user testing to fine tune the software and e-drive specifically for children with a unique motor mapping. The motor's ramp up, accelaration and top speed were all tailored for children.
The removable compact battery can be easily plugged and unplugged so you don't have to carry your bicycle up or down stairs to recharge. Simply take the battery with you! And if you fancy a ride without electric assistance, use the battery holder to carry your water bottle!
Control your bike via the app! Here you can fine tune certain settings, connect to strava (if your kid is into that), use the navigation feature or keep track of your stats and receive over-the-air updates.
